Translating to”Long Bridge”, this Ottoman commissioned bridge is the longest stone bridge from Turkey, extending 4,360 feet long and 22 feet wide. Constructed 1443 and between 1426 under Sultan Murad II, this 174 arch-bridge is day trip that is amazing and really a scenic stop for anybody. Constructed to join the Balkans with the Ottoman Peninsula, this bridge still stands sound now spanning the once dividing Ergene River.
